Moore is set for a long spell on the sidelines Former champion jockey Ryan Moore could be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a suspected broken arm in a fall on Saturday's final day of the Glorious Goodwood meeting.
The 27-year-old was brought down when riding Verdant in the Summer Stakes.
His father Gary said he had broken his humerus (upper arm bone) and thumb.
Moore started the day in third place in the jockeys' championship, nine behind leader Paul Hanagan and two behind Silvestre de Sousa.
Moore's mount Verdant and Jamie Spencer's mount Activate were brought down by Captain John Nixon, who broke a foreleg while leading the field.

Spencer escaped unharmed, along with Verdant and Activate, but Moore needed treatment on the turf before being brought to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester for further treatment.
Moore senior said that he expected his son to miss the remainder of the season, which runs until 5 November.
As well as being retained by Sir Michael Stoute, Moore, who won the jockeys' championship in 2006, 2008 and 2009, has also become a leading choice for Aidan O'Brien in the absence of a stable jockey at Ballydoyle.
